That is super fast. Good for you. What department was your number 1 choice? Where do you live? I applied but havent heard anything back yet. Keep us updated. Best of luck Thursday.
I live in Studio City (Los Angeles.)
My top choices were Surgical, ICU, and Burn (although the versant program coordinator told me they weren't taking anyone into burn this year, so I changed it to Telemetry.)
I will let everyone know how it goes and what questions they ask! :-)

What about both of you? What units did you apply to and where are you from?
I applied to Surgical, Med/Surg and Tele. I am from Santa Clarita. My packet did not arrive until Friday. When did you turn in your packet to already get an interview? Did any of you have clinical at the hospital? When you talked to the director did he state how many applied or how many they are taking?
I applied to med/surg, step down, and surgical. I am from the SF bay area.
When I talked to the recruiter initially a month or so ago she said there would be 20ish openings, depending on unit needs.
I applied in March and turned my application in person on April 1.
I'm at school in LA (from the Bay Area as well!) and haven't done clinicals in Bakersfield at all.
(To be fair, I've been working as the Executive Director for a home care company in LA for almost a year. I don't know if that made a difference but it was mentioned positively during my meeting.) :-)
Good luck to us all! I'll post on here after tomorrow with all the information I can.

congrats @ashleyrosesf! I applied as well and my stuff got there Monday. No word yet :)
From what I hear most hospital use Behavioral questions interviews. So think up different senerios just in case. Best of luck tomorrow.
Just got home from the interview with 5N!
It went really well (I think) although some of the questions took me by surprise and were rough to answer. I'm not going to go into the clinical questions in depth since they were made up by them on the spot and you won't get the same ones.
1. Be prepared to talk a ton about yourself. They're particular and want people who are good fit *people* not necessarily the best clinically trained. As they said "you can't teach someone to be a great nurse, but you can teach them how to do an IV." You need to sell yourself as best you can, especially if you're not from the area!
2. Bring multiple copies of your résumé and put together a portfolio of your accomplishments if you can.
3. Be prepared to answer both professional nursing (ie HIPPA, hand hygiene, delegation) and clinical questions. A lot were based around "you come in and your patient has these symptoms and these vital signs. Go."
