San Jacinto Fall 2019

U.S.A. Texas

Hello Everyone!

I hope someone could help if they have any information regarding the San Jacinto nursing program. For some odd reason both campuses have not posted deadline dates for Spring 2019. A few months back I contacted the North campus. I've noticed they only have a spring entrance if they have enough clinical space. Central campus always has both entrances. I remember I was told by Mid June or July they would post. Well nothing yet but what I find odd is that central campus has not chose all Fall candidates. Fall semester starts next month! I'm so confused if anyone has any information I would appreciate it.

Are you taking with Dr Davis?

You will do fine on the HESI! You have 4.5 hours to complete and have 30 AP questions, and 50 for Math, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Vocabulary. You can choose section orders and once you answer a question you cannot backtrack.

I made a 90.4% overall and I completely bombed a subset of the Reading Comprehension. That section was so boring and I was getting distracted. If i retake the HESI I am definitely doing RC first.

Math was a TON of ratios, some percentages, couple of algebra questions, one military time, kitchen conversions (ie how many pints in 4 gallons,) only a few metric (how many grams in 4 kilograms.) No metric/us measurement conversions.

Grammar was a lot.of misspelled words so my brain autocorrected and didn't compute the first read through.

There are a few personality sections but those aren't graded.

I didn't have any blood flow questions, but a classmate did. I had a couple of bone questions, melanoma, macromolecules, WBC, 2 organizational questions (cells and tissues). It was a weird spread.

The north campus has posted their application dates and information meeting times. Good luck to all of you who have already applied and/or who will be applying!

I was surprised I really thought they weren't having one. Thank you!

anyone applied to lvn spring 2019?

Has anyone applied for San jac adn fall 2019? I haven’t turned my application in yet but my stats are

ap I: A

ap II: A

micro:in progress

english 1301: B

hesi: 90.4

gpa: 3.24

over all score: 17 with micro in progress

Rm141, you might get more response if you post in the Student section. I don't know if there is a Fall 2019 post, but you can always make one.

I just went through the process so if you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck!

Thankyou! How are the professors? Is class everyday? Is the program as hard as people say it is?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to apply for Spring 2019, and I know this is not right place but I have question about the “ 1 course in progress”. I will be in Micro this Fall 2019 is it okay to apply with 1 class in progress? How do they calculate my rubric if the maximum is 29? Please help me I’m so confused

Yes its okay to have one class in progress while you apply as long as you finish it before nursing school begins. Your ruberic will be calculated when you fill your application. The application has a certain amount of points for the grades you’ve gotten on your pre reqs, gpa, hesi test, and other things. Since you haven’t taken micro yet, when you turn in your application that’s not going to be your final grade. You have to give the nursing department another transcript showing them your grade after you finish the in progress class so they can also add those points to your final score.

Thanks so much for your reply! Do you know how many points that people got accepted into ADN at San Jacinto Central have?
