San jac spring 2018 adn

Published

Hi i wanted to start this thread for those who are going into the Spring 2018 ADN Program at San Jac Central. I would like to know Hesi score, Gpa, and total number for ranking.

Hesi 80%

GPA 4.0

Total score 17

I got my acceptance email at 11:26am. My last name begins with an L & my ruberic score was a 24 or 25 I can't remember.

Oops, let me correct this... I need to credit jdskaggs88 for mentioning about checking the junk mail.

@niknik North campus LVN sent out acceptance letters not South. People are still waiting to hear from them. So there's still hope!!

Oh and congrats to Brandon_Hare you made it hun.

Thanks. Still unsure where I will end up. I have been accepted to 1 BSN program and 2 ADN programs, however San Jac is the only local school. I am still waiting to hear from Alvin which is definitely my first choice if I go the ADN route.

I would definitely take the BSN route lol

I would definitely take the BSN route lol

Yes it would be an easy decision it it wasn't 4.5 hours away. With a home, wife, & teenage kids it will be difficult. It is doable, but I'm not sure if I want to miss so much time with my family, especially my oldest daughter's Junior & Senior year of high school.

Yep, I do understand that. That's a tough one

I just talked to Linda, she said that they are not done sending emails. They will be sending acceptance AND rejection letters sporadically throughout this week and next week. If you do not hear anything by friday 17th then give them a call that following monday.

Is anyone going to start a group-me or facebook page for our cohort?

Hey ya'll!

I have a question for ya. I am a little confused about how long this program is. It says its 5 terms but from my understanding from what I've been told it is two years. Based upon the term and the length of many courses (only 8 weeks), my guess is a year and a half, right? And if we've completed courses in the past (i.e. General Psychology and Lifespan Growth & Development) could we potentially finish early? Or do you just take less of a course load. Thanks for your help! I look forward to meeting you all soon.

This might help answer your Question, jdskaggs88. 5 terms actually equal to 1.5 years because the terms includes the summers. Full terms like Spring and Fall each has 16 weeks, so there are usually 4 classes in each terms which also includes clinical. They divided the 4 classes into two 8 week session. For example, the first 8 week of Spring would be foundation of nursing and health assessment. The next 8 week will be nursing skill and clinical, which will end the Spring term. I hope this will help explain your question.
