Hey everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for those who plan on applying to San Jac Central's ADN Program for Fall 2017. I know applications aren't being accepted yet, hopefully they'll post dates soon, it says "to be announced" on one protion of the website, and then it says Feb 2-April 2 on another portion.
As for me, I'm eager and ready, done with all prereqs and my Hesi. Here are my scores:
Comp I: C (Failed it years ago and retook recently and made an A)
Psychology: A
AP1: B
AP2: A
Micro: B
Overall GPA 3.22
Hesi A2 Exam: 89.6% overall, planning to retake the exam to see if I can do even better.
How did everyone do? Best of luck, hopefully we will be studying together come August!
I also plan to apply to Alvin but doubt I'll get in because they are so selective.
Hello everyone! I received an acceptance letter as well! My biggest concern at the moment is calculating the cost of the uniforms and supplies that we need to purchase on Monday. As for everything else, orientation should clear up all this confusion for us! See you all at 0700 Monday! BTW, I joined the FB group as well. I look forward to meeting all of you!

I still need to go to the campus tomorrow to get a few more clarifications but everything you said definitely gives me peace of mind bc I'm really worried about getting my BON clearance on time like I said in my other post! Glad we don't really have to worry about it until after Monday though.
I was able to register for fingerprinting this morning. Until then, I was receiving the same message. At orientation it sounded like they were still entering names into that system and she said to continue trying through the end of the week. Don't stress yourself out too badly- if you still get the error message on Friday, try calling your secretary to inform her. Hope this helps! :)
For those who went to the orientation for the central campus on Monday and had to pay for uniforms and supplies, if you were accepted somewhere else and are giving up your spot at sjc, you have 10 days to cancel your order from career uniforms. I cancelled mine on Tuesday because I got into a campus closer to home. The only thing they are keeping is the charge for the ID.
Hi CaseyBlum, could you tell me what I should wait for after the fingerprinting process because its been 7 days. Do we receive any notification via email or mail?
I'd email the BON to make sure there aren't any errors on their side. I am having the same problem and when I emailed them they told me the school misspelled my name. So I've submitted a name change request and it's taking forever! Inquiries to the BON can be directed to [email protected].
Micle: I'm honestly not sure. I have not received anything since being fingerprinted and what to expect/do has been made pretty unclear in my opinion. My understanding is that the blue card would be mailed to us.
I have actually rescinded my acceptance into the program in part because of how unorganized and dishonest the orientation was (Surprise! You have to spend $450 today!) as well as all following requirements.
