San Francisco State University (SFSU) Entry Level Master of Science in Nursing (ELM)

Published

Hello, I'm applying to the ELM program at SFSU for Fall 2025. I was wondering if anyone could please share their experiences such as particular clubs, pathways, or specifics that make SFSU unique from other schools?

I'm having trouble finding information outside the general website, and they didn't have info sessions.

I am #1 for pediatrics

Emailed the SoN again today to ask about the waitlist process and when the list is finalized, will report back on that when I have a reply. I only know that someone who specialized in nursing administration had got accepted, so there's like 19 slots left.

Does anyone mind saying their placement on the waitlist and which specialty?

They did not respond to me a week ago. I am #1 on womens specialty, you?

I am #6 for women's specialty

Oh wow! I hope we get in. I wonder what the numbers are for the different specialties that did get accepted. Ik it isn't even,

Honestly I really hope we get in. I know Sarah said for the 2024 cohort that the numbers are really uneven in her class. Some specialties have 4-6 while others only have 2. I'm assuming it's all just dependent on which people accept the admission.

Holding out though since apparently SFSU had even admitted someone the day before class started even after the list was finalized but the waiting game is awful.

Son said that they go by rank for the waitlist. Didn't get an answer about when the list of acceptances would be finalized.

IKR!! we will find out about the initial round of waitlist offers after May 1, since that's the acceptance deadline. After that, it'll be a longer waiting game until August before we know for sure the final list. It's so hard not knowing how many people from our specialties actually got in...

I accepted my admission for fall 2025, my specialty is currently nursing administration but I am changing it

I received the email April 2nd — they then sent me another email congratulating me along with a Google doc to insert more information and to "finalize" my acceptance

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Hello I'm also on the waitlist and specialty for peds and waitlisted #2.

Hi I was accepted into Nursing Admin but will be declining to attend Samuel Merritt's FNP program. Hoping that'll help with the waitlist!

Waiting for any women health declines

Anyone with a specialty in pediatrics declined or will decline later?
