  1. Hi Sarah, it's me again LOL. I was wondering if you're still in the ELM program or have already passed it. With the NCLEX coming up, I was wondering how well do you think the program prepares you for the board exam?
  2. Hello! I'm not sure if what I say will be of any help. I got waitlisted around late February for UCI and didn't get off until July. My cohort has a handful of some non-healthcare majors. We also have some people who didn't work or major in undergrad in healthcare before either that got in. The admissions team is def v holistic I would say when it comes to admissions. While healthcare experience is preferred, you can still get in without it. My stats were: GPA 3.7 (Magna Cum Laude), worked 2 years as a CNA. Stats wise, I don't think I was very competitive so I made up for it in my personal statement and the interview
  3. Hi Sarah! I wanted to know what is the ELM learning like. Do you feel like you receive enough support from your professors and classmates? What about lectures and labs? Is the material gone over thoroughly? Sorry for all the questions, I mostly wanted to know what the program experience is like at SFSU.
  4. I guess only one person got off the waitlist for SFSU then :') Did you guys apply to any other schools and get in?
  5. Son said that they go by rank for the waitlist. Didn't get an answer about when the list of acceptances would be finalized.
  6. Honestly I really hope we get in. I know Sarah said for the 2024 cohort that the numbers are really uneven in her class. Some specialties have 4-6 while others only have 2. I'm assuming it's all just dependent on which people accept the admission. Holding out though since apparently SFSU had even admitted someone the day before class started even after the list was finalized but the waiting game is awful.
  7. Emailed the SoN again today to ask about the waitlist process and when the list is finalized, will report back on that when I have a reply. I only know that someone who specialized in nursing administration had got accepted, so there's like 19 slots left. Does anyone mind saying their placement on the waitlist and which specialty?
  8. I emailed the SoN last night after I got the waitlist email. Waitlist is per specialty. Which means that if Im assuming correct, there's 40 people per specialty. So thats like... 200 people waitlisted as there's 5 specialties
  9. I'm not sure what you mean for verification of hours. I submitted my resume that detailed my work hours and that was it
  10. I am so sorry Monchi, I wish you all the best in future applications and job interviews. Looking at last year's thread, this is what Sarah (the OP) said: You guys are gonna drive yourselves crazy trying to figure out if people with the same specialty are denying their offers- who knows how many of each are even in the original 20, it's not an even split. Some of the specialties in our cohort have only 2 people while others have like 8-10. Trying to figure out who chose what and who's turning down offers isn't gonna get you closer to knowing if you're gonna be accepted So honestly it's like a matter of We Ball
  11. Thank you so much :') Also to answer someone's question about how we found out? Just got the email. I'm not gonna lie, it felt a bit like an April Fool's prank so I'm kind of in disbelief. Last year's thread said that they were admitting people literally until the day before classes so there's hope. I have no idea if the waiting list this year is also like last year where it was based on specialty.
  12. I was waitlisted. I don't think I was able to do the VERY best I could have on the interview because it was just a One Shot, but I think I had done pretty well on it.
