San Francisco State University (SFSU) - Entry Level Master of Science in Nursing (ELM)

Hello, I'm applying to the ELM program at SFSU for Fall 2025. I was wondering if anyone could please share their experiences such as particular clubs, pathways, or specifics that make SFSU unique from other schools?

I'm having trouble finding information outside the general website, and they didn't have info sessions.

nope, haven't heard any back from the waitlist. Have you been accepted?

Nope, haven't heard anything also.

Will anyone who accepted admissions be commuting from East Bay? Maybe be interested in commuting together either driving or public transit?

Has anyone from the waitlist heard back yet? I think the deadline is next week

Right! I haven't heard anything yet😭 I'm so anxious!

I guess only one person got off the waitlist for SFSU then :') Did you guys apply to any other schools and get in?

Hi, I'm applying for Fall 2026 and was wondering if anyone has any advice.

I'm a career switcher, I have limited clinical skills/experience due to a work injury that led me to be on WC for the last 5 years (I had to get a lawyer and everything). I have a lot of community health/public health research, educator, and advocacy experience since I started volunteering since I was like 13 years old (I'm applying as a community health/public health nurse). I just finished the pre-reques at my local CC with all A's and I have a bachelors degree which is why I was recommended this program by the advisors. I had been taking some clinical medical assisting classes just to get a feel for more clinical skills.

I've always wanted to do direct patient care but when I got injured I was told that I couldn't work in medicine and it's been one hell of a journey to climb and claw my way back. I hope anyone can give advice!
