I haven't seen anyone start a thread for SFSU's ABSN program this year. Hoping to connect with people who applied for Summer 2023!
Does anyone know if we need to submit official transcripts to NursingCAS only? Thanks!
BON BON said:While we're all anxiously waiting, I was wondering if anyone has heard much about SFSU's ABSN program? I've tried looking deep into the internet, but I can't find any information on the clinical sites, professors, quality of the program, how students are doing after the program, and whether or not there is a preceptorship. I know I haven't even been accepted yet, but it's been worrying me!
If anyone knows anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated!
I haven't found much info either! I wish they published more about the program. Here are some things I did find: https://chss.sfsu.edu/sites/default/files/documents/Nursing Panel Transcript March 2020.pdf
some of the clinicals mentioned here were: SFGH, Kaiser SF, UCSF, CPMC, Laguna Honda

I know someone in the entry level masters version of the program, and she loves it! Her biggest compliant was that the master's version is long and many people wanted to drop out after they received their RN. Administration ended up changing the policy (this year, I believe) so that you can't leave partway through. But that doesn't apply to the ABSN of course, so not sure how helpful that is, sorry!

Hi, this was super super helpful! Thank you so much ? Also, I don't think they do interviews (based on recent years)!
Hi! I have not heard anything back either. Tbh I'm kinda nervous because it seems like all nursing schools are SO competitive in CA. My stats are 82% TEAS, 3.9 GPA, 1.5 years experience as a CNA. I've only taken the TEAS once and really don't wanna pay and take it again even though I'm not happy with my score LOL.

Thanks for finding that. I couldn't find last year's thread anywhere.
