Hey guys! I haven't seen anyone make a post for this years SDCC cohort yet so here it is. How is everyone feeling about their application? Any idea what they expect for the point system? I'm coming in at about 84 or 85/100 so I'm somewhat confident. I'm assuming it's gonna take a bit for them to process the apps so we'll see. To anyone that has gone to workshops feel free to drop any helpful info below!
Hi! I'm applying with only 80 points this semester, so I'm not getting my hopes up, but SDCC is my last choice school anyway. I live in Carlsbad so my first choice is MiraCosta (nearly impossible due to lottery system) and then palomar (84 points), then Grossmont (86 points). Did anyone else apply to MiraCosta Spring 2024?

MiraCosta has a reputation of rejecting applicants that score in the 90s of their multi point criteria requirement so I didn't apply. Missed the window to apply to Grossmont cuz I took TEAS online but they require in person. Nd missed Palomar by like 1 day. Have you looked into SWC?

MiraCosta is a lottery for everyone over 75 pts, that's why. They just pick applications at random and if they have over 75 pts they are in. I haven't actually applied to palomar or grossmont yet, I'm planning on applying in the fall. Chula Vista is like an hour drive for me so I'm not sure if I'm going to apply to SWC yet. And what, I didn't know they required in person TEAS!? I guess I won't be applying there LOL.
