San Diego City College LVN-RN , Spring 2024

Hi All, 

I submitted my application for San Diego City College LVN -RN today. Starting this post to connect with others who are also applying. I am wondering how many points others have applied with. 
 

I believe I applied with 83 points if all of my life experience points count.

Any news yet? I see SWC is already sending out emails. The wait is killing me! LOL

Still nothing over here! I am kind of hoping that they will send soon since SWC did but I realize one has nothing to do w the other LOL ...Still checking my email every 5 min!

Yeah, I figured that City was waiting to see how many LVNs they can accept based on how many spots they have available for clinicals.  Oh well, we shall see.

I did not go to any of the info sessions so I assumed that the number that they accept is based on the number of students that drop from the Generic ADN cohort (this is how SWC does it) -- did they say that the number of LVNs they accept is based on clinical sites? 

I just looked back at my email and the person I spoke w/ said 60-90 days but when I asked and said I was told Oct 1, she said that the person might have meant Nov 1.... hopefully we don't have much longer!

I did go to the info session. They said that the determining factor would be the clinical sites because they don't want to allow a lot of people in and not be able to send them to clinical. She was thinking it may be more this time, but we will see. I hope it is not much longer too. I keep checking my email just in case.

Ah! Okay , I imagine they were taking way less while covid was really bad so hopefully more this year!

Hi everyone! I am also anxiously waiting for my acceptance/denial letter from City! It should be emailed to us very soon. I am so excited to know either way.

They told me 60-90 days from the end of the application closing day. Our application closing day was which was August 31st. So should be during October or November! Hopefully soon.
