San Diego, CA questions---going out in June

Published

I am planning on traveling to San Diego,CA this June and wanted to know what to expect. What type of payrates should I expect?which travel company is the best to work with out there? Which hospitals are travel friendley? I'm traveling with my husband and pets so I need a house. I want to be on or near the beach. What is a good area? I would appreciate any help or advice. I'm currently working in Washington, DC with American Mobile. I've heard their pay rates are lower than others and I've had some issues so I'm ready for a change. Thanks for the help!

Cali is a walk-thru state. You have to travel to Sacramento but I got mine in less than 3 hours.

If your transcripts are in the Nursys database then all you need is to release transcripts, get the fingerprinting done, and show up @ the Board of Nursing the next morning.

I was in @ 9:00 and submitted my paperwork. They told me to come back @ noon.

Drove over to the 7-11 for a soda. Had a bite to eat. Went back @ 11:40. License in hand @ 11:45.

Awesome. Everyone should be as easy and accommodating.

(Hear that Michigan & Florida you bastads:uhoh3:)

How long ago did you do this ? I don't think this information is accurate. I got my CA license in Dec 09.....
