  1. Hey! I can't send private messages right now, but that is exactly what I'm going through with them. I have a phone interview today at 9am so we'll see how it goes. It seems like they have that area locked down according to other agencies that I have tried so if you want to go there they are your best chance. If my interview goes ok and I'm offered a job I am going to negotiate hard because I know I should be getting more with my package than that. I have had other agencies offer rental cars and higher travel reimbursement. I have registered with the top 3 companies on Highway hyperdermics and they aren't even showing the job that I'm applying for. Negotiate, negotiate....Northern CA has more jobs and better pay that other agencies can get you in to if you wanna go that route. Check out the HH website. Good luck! :)
  2. What company are you with?
  3. Hi. I'm going through the same thing. I am getting ready to interview for a Kaiser hospital in San Diego and I was quoted $30.14/hr with a housing stipend of $1650. I actually registered with one of the companies at the top of Highway hyperdermics and they quoted a stipend rate higher in addition to a rental care/higher travel reimbursement and a few extras. I was also quoted a weekly pay check using CA taxes even though my permanent residence is in VA....I know I'm getting shafted, but I'm not sure what to do either except let the lower company know that I know I can get a better rate. Everyone wants to work in San Diego so the jobs go pretty fast so good luck with your choices and maybe I'll see you out there. Which company are you using?
  4. Thanks for the response Justine.
  5. I am planning on traveling to San Diego,CA this June and wanted to know what to expect. What type of payrates should I expect?which travel company is the best to work with out there? Which hospitals are travel friendley? I'm traveling with my husband and pets so I need a house. I want to be on or near the beach. What is a good area? I would appreciate any help or advice. I'm currently working in Washington, DC with American Mobile. I've heard their pay rates are lower than others and I've had some issues so I'm ready for a change. Thanks for the help!

Does anyone have a suggestion on where a first travel assignment would be?
  7. I have been searching for my first travel job with several companies. I have 5 yrs of med/surg experience and all I'm being offered is $25-31/hr. With the $25/hr they are offering $1200 stipend/ins/lic reimbursement/$500 travel expense. Is that good? I currently make $22 at my permanent job and I can't see how I'll end up making more traveling. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
