San Antonio College Entry Fall 2017

Published

Hey,

I'm planning on applying this December for SAC's Fall 2017 RN program. Anyone else? Any advice?

Thanks

PLEASE!! Tell me you're lying! I just had to call and hear it for myself--but no one is answering (called twice). :(

Baptist has a late app deadline of May 15th. Applying TODAY! Just not sure how I feel with how "unorganized" SAC might be.

EDIT: Called like 10x today...still no one answered. I feel like I am starting to go off the deep end!

Sometimes you can catch them in the office and other times you just get the voicemail.

Well.....today is friday, hopefully we will all get an email today.

lol they are probubly reading this and will makes us wait another week. Jk

Finally got a hold of someone. Emails DEFINITELY not going out until next week now. So the wait continues . . .

Seriously?!?!?!? This is starting to become ridiculous!

Oh wow. Maybe they are waiting for people to get a diplomas. I have finals next week I may forget to even checkí ½í¸‚

Oh NO! This is bad as waiting to see if you can move on to the next semester of nursing. ugh! Well on to next week. I just looked over the sheet and without previous work experience the Max is 16 points w/o a bachelors.

I was told during the info session that about classes in progress and graduation in progress and they said they were only accounting for what was completed up to the deadline of 2/15/2017...because I was going to take a short term ethics class just so I'd have all the points possible. They told me not to worry. Ya ok. I was also told 10 pts. was the min for last class selection, so when I took the teas I was shooting for what I needed to make it in. But who knows what they decide to do. In the meantime I'm completing the classes for the BSN program at UT health just in case.

Oh wow. Well I'm also taking summer courses after graduation so I can do the bsn application if I'm not accepted. If you are at the Alamo colleges take Professor Fuller for ethics he is great or professor hill, I've heard he is good too. I only had Professor Fuller and he was a great teacher.

Good call on pushing forward with BSN courses. I only lack Chemistry and then I can apply to any BSN program in Texas. So if I don't get in for this fall (and/or miss Baptist deadline which I am actively trying to make right now!), I'll take chem over the fall and apply to a lot more schools.

I moved from Dallas beginning of this year and kind of put all my eggs in SACs basket--hoping I didn't make a mistake there.

That is very sweet of you. I'm new to this school and finding anything out has been very difficult. I moved from California and the process out there was very different, and since I decided to take online classes I don't really meet anyone. I just hope I get in, but from what I'm hearing it's to competitive.
