Hello, I’m wondering who’s applying for program SMU the deadline is on December 1, 2021. To get into the fall semester of the following year? Just trying to create a thread.

Aww thanks girl you to! No prob! and yes I was thinking the same about a 55-60 chance. Ugh I hate waiting , I also applied to San Jose and sf state so we’ll see.

Hello all I hadn’t noticed this till right now Shame LOL! But my stats

4.0 science GPA

Overall-3.75

TEAS-89

Prior military

Recommendations- Nurse and Anatomy Professor

I wish you all Goodluck I wish I had volunteering/medical but hopefully what I have so far is competitive enough

I chatted with Shannon  today and she said around 150 are being reviewed and they accept around 65-68 can’t remember and 25-30 waitlist. That’s good news if you made it this far

Nice stats! How would we know if we made it this far? Did we get an email that we moved on to a certain stage of the admission process?

Sorry Andrea not sure how to respond directly to you but I got an email on the 24th that I made it for further review . On the BSN timeline email after the preliminary review it is sent to the nursing program.

Is this the same email you got? I'm freaking out because mine was sent on the 2nd not the 24th. Did you get a different email?

No I got the same one ?

Just SMU. I don’t think I’m competitive enough for other schools. Before I switched to pre-nursing I had already completed some pre reqs and got okay grades in them. Back then I didn’t care much about grades. Unfortunately I can’t retake them at my CC. Wish it was different but trying not to beat myself up for it now.

Sorry that you were rejected. It is insanely difficult to become a nurse in CA! Keep trying though I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere. Keeping my fingers crossed for you??

I don't know if you guys are local to San Jose, but I just got into the ADN program at Evergreen Valley College. I also got into their bridge program with SJSU. For 4 semesters you do classes at EVC and SJSU, after 4th semester you get ADN, then you must pass NCLEX, then one final semester at SJSU and you get your BSN! The program is also a lot cheaper than direct BSN programs (it's only $16k for both schools)! We all have similar stats and I found it incredibly easy to get into both programs. You guys should definitely look into it! Good luck!

Congrats on getting in! And thank you, I will keep that in mind ?

Previous years SMU allnurses applicants said to make an account n the admitted students pages with the nursing cas email we used to apply. Did you guys do that? Bc apparently, according to the forums before,  we could get our results earlier than when they send the email.

How do we make an account with what ? I haven’t received any student I’d or anything ? That would be nice though
