Haha not gonna lie I also have 3 classes in progress as well.. but I'm doing pretty well in them (all A's right now, knock on wood) so I calculated them anyways. I was told it's okay as long as you resubmit your official transcripts after the fall semester is over because they don't start reviewing applications until mid-January. Have you taken your 2nd HESI attempt yet?

Yeah,I’m actually preparing to take the HESI test for a different private program but  I already took the TEAS test. & well that’s good! I have As & Bs myself. Hey do you know how fast the pace is for Samuel? As in is it like semesters or 8-week lecture/ clinicals like this other private program is?

I’m not totally sure but I know they have a webinar session coming up. The dates are on their website. I believe the class schedules are also on there too

Yeah I Know I got their emails. I’m kinda struggling on the reference letters ? I asked my professors for one and they didn’t make me one.

Hi everyone! I am applying for the Fall 2022 cycle as well. I am a bit nervous after looking at last year's stats but I'm still hopeful. I'm surprised this thread doesn't have more replies? I wonder how many people are applying this term. Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.4

sGPA: 3.4

HESI: haven't taken it yet

Healthcare work hours: 500+

Volunteer hours: 50+, at a local church

Letters of rec: Microbiology professor & RN I work with (I'm a caregiver)

I have no idea what to put for the written portion LOL

I spoke to a counselor named John and he said my stats were pretty solid so hoping for the best.. good luck everyone!

Hello! Quoting my original post to add my HESI score and to update my stats since it won’t let me edit. I took it today and scored 96% overall. 88% for reading, 100% for A&P, 98% for math, 98% for grammar and 96% for vocab! I guess I also have 800+ healthcare hours. And I was able to get 3 letters of recommendation, one being SMU faculty (she’s an RN I work with). Fingers crossed and best of luck to everyone!

Hi Kristin, NursingCAS is working fine for me. I just submitted my application 5 minutes ago. Have you tried logging in on another browser?

Wow, everyone has really good stats! This is my first time applying to SMU with the following stats:

Prereq GPA: 3.903

Science GPA: 4.0

TEAS Overall: 86.7 (Science = 81.0, Math = 100)

1600+ hours as phlebotomist with a public, government hospital

Recommenders: Anatomy professor who I worked under as lab assistant as well and from my manager (clinical laboratory scientist)

I hope these are good enough to earn a spot!

Hey! We have pretty similar stats and I was accepted for Spring 2022. Just write a really powerful and moving personal statements.

After I finished all my prerequisites, I also took medical terminology class and health science vocabulary. If your college offers it, I recommend to take it. It just push your chances and also you learn medical terminology that you’ll need in the medical field anyway. Good luck! ??
