Hey everyone! It is March 1st, has anyone heard back from SMU??!

Hi there!

I would not be surprised if the prelim date got pushed back again. Everyone who’s application is verified and complete has to receive a prelim email before anyone can make it to the next phase. I just hope they don’t push back the decisions date.

Has anyone here tried the portal at all? I saw on last years forum students were using it to keep track of their application, but it says its for Admitted Students, so I didn't try anything. I was wondering if anyone here has taken a look at it

may be its too early to check it. They checked it the day before final decision.

I see, so the portal isn't a place to check the status of your application I assume then? How do you know when to check? just curious

Hi @Alejandra Arandia

I received the prelim email last week.  I guess the next email to look for is on March 30th when decisions will be sent out.  I pasted the timeline below for everyone just in case.

The admission timeline for fall 2021

January 4- The admission office reviews applications.

February 15 – extended to March 1. Completed and verified applications will move forward to the Nursing Department for review. You can receive either of 2 notifications (see below) between now and March 1. If you have not received either notification by March 1, please contact us.

March 30 - Decisions emailed to applicants.

If accepted, $350.00 deposit and letter of intent due 10 days after acceptance to hold your place in the program.

July /August, 2021- classes start.

Yes

Hello everyone,

Just checking in to see if anyone has heard anything or have any updates?

We most likely will not hear anything until the projected decision day which is March 30th. You can always join one of the BSN question sessions on Mondays and ask if they're on track to release decisions that day.

Getting closer to March 30th, has anyone heard any updates?

Hi @ag24 , I haven't heard of any updates as of yet.  Just waiting for March 30th to roll around.  If I hear anything, I'll def post.

I attended last Monday's BSN chat and she said the decision day is still 30th! just a week away

I am very nervous, wish this week to pass quickly!

Does anyone know around what time will we receive the email? or by what time should we expect to hear something?

Less than a day away!
