@bananaslug2022 Thank you so much for sharing that! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I'm actually becoming a bit more anxious now after reading that, trying to not to get into my own head.

@Cristinamar Ahh! Did you also apply to the CM program? Mine is from 2:30-4p. What about you? 💜

I just received a Zoom invitation for a CM synthesis presentation on 3/28 which is tomorrow. Is anyone else attending it?

Hi Guys, I also am in the interview slot for FNP 2:30-4 and have been trying to prepare but don't know what to expect for the group portion. What have you guys been doing to prep for the group part? Let me know how you guys are preparing if you don't mind sharing please! I found a response of someone saying that they played a group robbery game for the SMU interview but their interview experience was in-person.

Hey! A few of you guys have been asking about the group interview and I promise it's not as bad as it sounds. But the faculty introduced themselves then they put is in a breakout room with another person or I think the most a group had was three people. We learned about one another for about 10 minutes then shared with the class about the other individual. After that they put us into a group of 5 and 4 since it was 9 applicants in the meeting. We had to work together to create a clinic and set up roles for that clinic. Each member had a specific role and had to share what they do for the clinic. And after that we were able to ask questions to a student currently in the FNP program. Came back and then were able to ask the panel more questions.

Good luck everyone!

Hi guys,

I am on the waitlist for the CM program for Fall 2024. I am #21 so at this point I lost hope. I tried asking admissions about how many people typically get accepted off of the waitlist, but they were unable to give me stats from previous years. Congrats to everyone who got in and sending positive vibes to those who are still waiting. 🤞

Do you guys think the order of interviews may be indicative of if we may be waitlisted? Bc my interview for FNP isn't Until April 2nd

@bananaslug2022 You are literally heaven sent

@nursee2b I'm kinda just going off of what's posted on their website (why FNP, why SMU, etc) and also just reviewing my resume to remember my strongest skills and experiences. It helped me feel more confident for the CM interview. We might be in the interview together! Trust me, I am all over the place too and am super nervous. Love the idea of looking up group interviews on YT. Will do that this evening!

@kiki111 I don't think so. For the CM track, they completed interviews (I'm assuming off the options they gave us) just last Thursday and sent out decisions/waitlist numbers on Monday. I interviewed with them on 3/8 and was waitlisted. So I'm sure they wait to conclude all interviews.

Oh maaaan. Again - good luck to everyone here!

What about for FNP? I'm wondering how many rounds of emails with candidates they interview. Do you think all FNP candidates would have heard back for an interview by now?

I want to say yes because during the interview on Tuesday, we asked when decisions would be made and they said by next Friday. We would hear back likely that weekend or by Monday.

I'm curious about the number of candidates selected from all those who applied to the program (FNP one specifically)

From what the brochure says it's only a handful.

"Family Nurse Practitioners provide primary care across a patient's life span, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of health problems. Each ELMSN cohort enrolls 48 students—24 into FNP and 24 into Case Management. Sep 27, 2022"
