Samuel Merritt University ELMSN Fall 2014

Hey All,

I couldn't find a thread for Samuel Merritt's FNP and CM programs for Fall 2014 entry, so I thought I would start one.

Who here has submitted applications for either of those programs? Did you apply to one or both of the ELMSN programs? Have you considered the ABSN program as well?

I submitted an app for the CM program, and am eager to hear back in coming months.

I didn't get anything either, so I contacted The head of ELMSN admissions, she said that as long as you pay your deposit you should be fine, we don't need a letter of intend either. But you can email her if you want just to make sure, since I'm in the FNP and not the CM

not at all, it's so weird that they didn't include a due date for the deposit, I paid mine pretty much the second day after I received my acceptance. But my payment didn't show up in the smurf website until today (so weird), I called them about it a few weeks ago, but apparently they are having some issues with smurf

Yeah it is strange...nothing about due dates. You just made the payment to fall 2014 right?

I spoke to admissions and she said that the deposit needs to be made within 2 weeks of your acceptance letter/email. Since there really isnt a due date I dont know how reliable she is but I would assume better safe than sorry.

I am new to this forum although I have been following everyone's comments for the past few weeks. I applied to the ELMSN CM program for the fall and am #1 on the waitlist. I emailed the admission counselor to inquire about how long the wait would be before any changes in the waitlist might occur. It has been two weeks and I have not received a reply. I am not sure whether I should keep emailing the counselor or just wait. Any advice or has anyone on the waitlist had better luck getting more information?

@laivsaechao I emailed the counselor today, about movement on the wait list, and she emailed right back with a response saying that there has been one student admitted from the wait list, and to check again on Friday. How long have you been #1? I assume they would be admitting in order. I would call...

Waitlist #1 was the intitial and only number I received. Is it possible that someone was waitlisted earlier than the 11th and got admitted already?

Hi Everyone! I'm happy someone started a thread for this program! I actually will be applying next fall, but I wanted to know what the accepted student's work backgrounds are? I'm currently working as a Behavior Therapist for kids with autism and I also volunteer at two different hospitals.
