Hello!
I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!
I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!
Hope you are all staying safe during this crazy time!
I was in the virtual chat this past Monday, and the admissions counselor addressed that those who applied to start in January 2021 should be receiving admissions decisions in about early-mid October. It sounds like they got double the applications (probably related to COVID-19) and are working hard to get all the applications reviewed and get decisions out.
I can only imagine they keep getting emails asking when decisions will come out (I would probably be going crazy if I had to keep answering calls and emails asking the same question over and over)
I know SMU has a Virtual Fall Preview Day for each of their programs coming up this Saturday morning from 9am-12pm. I think I'm gonna just login to the ABSN presentation. My friend that was admitted last year told me that this is the best place to get information.
stay safe and healthy and good luck all!

did they say they got double the applicants? or just assuming there is more because of covid?

Just at the San Fran location I thought? But I guess that still means people are going to apply to the other locations too.

I assume you would have to apply again because they wouldn’t know that you are still interested. Just my opinion though
