Members are discussing various topics related to their nursing program admissions, such as deadlines for health care requirements, background checks, acceptance emails, and orientation information. Some members are also sharing their experiences with being admitted to different cohorts and creating Facebook groups to connect with their peers. Additionally, there is confusion about the timing of acceptance notifications for different cohorts.
Hi ya'll, starting a discussion for those who applied to Summer 2025 cohort at SMU! I'm curious to know if anyone has gotten any emails/updates? I personally applied to the Oakland campus. Goodluck everyone! : ).

Also how long does it take for the payment to post for your deposit
I applied for Sallie Mae because thats what my mom used when she went through school over two decades ago. The FA counselor said to review all the options for different interest rates on the ELMSELECT.COM website . I think they said it takes 5-7 days for deposit to post.

They'll send emails with next steps but basically you'll have to submit your deposit and accept your letter of intent manually then a few days later your checklist in the student portal will generate. Theres a few things like castle branch (background check and drug test, you'll use the same email you used for nursing cas), submitting immunizations on the health portal, filling out FAFSA 24/25 & 25/26 and private loan (elmselect.com, the website SMU recommends to find private loans), doing the online orientation, submitting your student id badge, joining SMU pulse, signing up for direct deposit, signing up for CPR classes (they have to be through the American Heart Association), scheduling your physical, flu shot, etc. that you can do if your eager to start like I was LOL.
