Hi everyone! I'm starting this discussion for those who applied for SMU ABSN program for the Fall 2024 cohort! I was curious if anyone has received updates/email yet. I personally applied to the Sacramento program. Good luck everyone! I

Hi!
I've applied for the Fall cohort as well. I sent my application in around first week of January, have yet to hear anything back, I don't think we'll hear anything before May either.
I am curious tho, is anyone still finishing up pre-reqs?
I also am finishing my last 3 classes. Submitting my application Friday. Good luck to all 💝

Hi, yes I applied for Fall 2021 and didn't get in.
Did they say why? What are your stats? I ask because I only have volunteer work in regards to medical. I have a MBA 🙂

No they didn't say why, at the time I was finishing up my last prerequisite and planning to take pathophysiology and my TEAS and HESI were in the low 70s. My GPA was a 3.0, since then my GPA has raised due to retaking my anatomy course and receiving an A, I have also retaken the TEAS and HESI and now I'm in the high 70s and low 80. I also applied to the ELMSN nursing CM this year and I'm on the waitlist for Fall.

Oh I see. What is ELMSN ? Do you think they do not admit students who have in progress classes?

Oh OK. I spoke with someone in admissions today and she said it really comes down to your letters of recommendation and how you answered the short answer questions.
