For those of you who had pre requisite courses that just finished for Fall 2022, did you update your NursingCAS application? I have one last class this Summer. And it says we can only update our applications ONCE but I want SMU to see my grades for these past 4 courses.

I did email them, still waiting on a response. I am going to call tomorrow ?

Hi everyone!

I applied for Sacramento Fall 22. I am getting nervous! I did not receive a "preliminary review." What did it say? I was finishing patho Spring semester, so was it only for students who completed everything up until that point? (praying) I would assume, I'm a no go if I didn't receive that?

check on the notification page of your NursingCAS portal. I received A notification in both my email and my nursingCAS portal that they reviewed my application. I will attach an image of the email that I received on 4/5/22 and 4/14/22z

I just dropped into Admission Counselor ABSN office hours to ask when we might receive our application results for San Mateo and he stated that they are working to get applications done by the end of this month and to look out for results in the next few weeks! He also stated he couldn't guarantee the timeline but that was the goal. Good luck everyone!

Oh my gosh! You guys scared me. Okay, yes I received that email. Hoping my passion, personal responses and experiences speak for themselves! I got some hard professors for phys and ended up finishing micro with an 89 :/.

Good luck!

Thank you for the update! I was trying to get some insight regarding the application process, and looks like last year people received results mid-July ??

The next ABSN deadline is July 1st. Is anyone also applying for this? It seems that we may not get the results of this round before the next deadline.

I was going to apply for the one due July 1st because I was expecting results for this cycle to come out the last week of June. In case I didn't get in, I would simply submit the same application again, but I might not anymore. If they're sending out results mid-July, then I might just wait for the next application cycle due Oct 1 :(.

I'm feeling pretty nervous right now, not knowing when they'll send the acceptance letters.

Are you going for sacramento or San Mateo?

I am also thinking about applying again before the July 1st deadline in case I don't get accepted. If we re-submit the application, do we have to send out and redo the letter of recommendations? Or can we just bring it over when we submit the application again? One of the teachers who wrote me a letter is on sabbatical and has been hard to reach so I am worried I won't have a letter of rec from teacher if we have to redo the letter of recs.

Yeah, I'm working on my second round of applications just in case and I emailed NursingCAS about this since I had resent the link to one of my recs and it instantly came back as being received right away. However, the other link I sent to a professor didn't come back right away and she had to resubmit the letter of rec again. Here's the feedback I got from NursingCAS.

"Yes, you need to add recommendation individually for each program. However,  it appears your recommenders do have the option to mark their first recommendation to be reused. This means they would only have to complete it once and it would mark complete for any additional programs you request them for as long as they click yes to reuse it. "

I'm going for the Sacramento campus, but I'll gladly attend any campus for the ABSN! Not sure if they consider applicants for the second choice campus at all.

Thank you for the info! This was super helpful.
