Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.

Yes, very unsettled! You would think if they had two separate waitlists they would have specified specific locations in the email! When I called earlier today, only 1 counselor was in the office. We won't have answers until people are back from the 4th of July..

Which campus was your first choice and which campus were you waitlisted to and accepted to? My first choice is Sacramento and I just got a wait list email that didn't specify which campus it was for. I really hope it's Sacramento, but just really want to know! :) this is directed toward Kdtish:)

I was emailed on June 30th that I was #8 on the wait list as well!! I've heard the waitlist usually fluctuates a lot!

I was emailed on June 30th also. I have been placed on the waitlist #11 of 24. I supposed it is for the Sacramento cohort because that is the only option I chose on the application. Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist yet?

I too am unable to locate the Facebook page for the Sacramento Fall cohort. I searched as directed, however the only Sacramento cohort that comes up is for 2016.

That's odd. I wrote the name the same as it is written on FB so I don't know why it isn't showing up. Maybe because it's a closed group. I can add you if you send me your name or email.

Heyy everyone!

I am waitlisted #10 and am pretty sure I chose the San Mateo location as my preferred location. I've been checking emails and picking up all sorts of number hoping they were from SMU with an update, but no luck. Has anyone been able to successfully search for the "SMU Sacramento ABSN Fall 2017" FB group? Was curious to see if there are any updates in that FB group. Thanks!

The last update I received was a notification that I had moved up on the waitlist. That was almost 4 weeks ago. No updates since.

I am currently waitlisted 7th for this fall ABSN program but got an email this morning saying they received my application for Spring 2018 when I never applied. Anyone get this email and is waitlisted as well?
