Yes, it's hard to get in, so make sure you get a 4.0 on those pre-reqs, since your undergrad GPA is not so great. My GPA was not great either, but I did ace all the pre-reqs and scored a 92 on the TEAS. I also had volunteer experience. I was admitted last year, but ultimately chose a less expensive program.

Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.
