Hello all! I have been anxiously searching forums for the past 2 months. I have been reading over previous applicants and their experience during the waiting period. I thought I might start a thread for those of us who have applied for the fall of 2023 cohort. Looking forward to the next few weeks of waiting with those who have applied!

I will be attending SMU for fall 2023.. has anyone heard anything about registering for classes yet?

Yes I saw that as well, but was just curious if they were going to email us about the process etc. just wanted to see if anyone has heard anything. Thank you though!

Has anyone talked to any financial aid counselors that were helpful? I'm very confused about my financial aid and trying to take out loans and I feel like the counselor hasn't been very clear ?

There was an email send out last week about the process.

I did, I think you can schedule an appointment to go down in person and have a financial aid person help you fill out the necessary forms. But yes most documents are on FAFSA... I know there's a document you have to sign after reading about your loan.

Yes there's a few loans I qualify for but I'm still unsure what's the best route to go ?

That was me.. I had trouble for the longest time with the financial aid advisor, I was like wait.. what. ?

but I finally figured it all out. But I had gone through EECU for a loan. ?look at interest rates! &  if you're struggling, just schedule an appt. Or go in! I'm literally moving over there for school. If I was able to go in and ask a million questions I would. Haha but I scheduled an appt with the actual BSN advisor. She gave me a run down of what everything was looking like. I sat there for a while trying to figure everything out so I know the feeling! But ask question, email, call. Do what you gotta do!

Yes! They sent out an email on how to register. ☺️ Other than that I haven't received anything else.
