Hey everyone- I thought it was time to start a new thread for the up and coming applicant pool for the ELMSN Sacramento cohort 2011. Five months until applications are due and it doesn't hurt to start communicating with one another already. I met with the admissions counselor last week and she gave me many pointers on how to strengthen my application. Can't wait to hear from some others out there who will be in it with me for the remainder of the year hoping to get into SMU.

Hi everyone, I'm glad I found this thread on allnurses. It good to see all of the positive communication between all of you regarding admission to the ELMSN in Sacramento. I wish you all the best of luck! I also wanted to let you know that yesterday, I received a phone call from ------- for early admission to ELMSN -FNP. I was totally floored, excited and humbled at the same time - for it truly has been a unique process and I understand the stress of waiting. I hope to see more acceptances being posted soon. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back and by all means if you do not get in this year...keep striving for improvement and you WILL get in!

Hi Aarti,

SMU originally asked me to interview at 10am on 8/26 but I had to postpone it until 8/28 at 11:15am. I had a one on one interview since I had applied to the ELMSN FNP last year, but I did not end up getting in.

Hi FNP candidates,

Good news!

In the email that I received from SM admission counselor last night indicates that FNP interviews are still going on and the decision will be made after the final interviews are over. It doesn't indicate when these interviews are conducted but they are still interviewing. :)

So, if you don't get the call today, don't worry. It is being delayed for few weeks.

Atmywindow - I didn't receive an email from SMU. I was wondering, was it just sent to you, or to all FNP candidates?

Sorry for the confusion.

The email was just for me. She was replying to my email regarding my CM acceptance.
