Samuel Merritt ELMSN FNP Spring 2018

Hey, first post here! Just wanted to see if anybody else has applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN FNP for January 2018. I will be submitting my app within the next few days, and can't wait to hear back from them. Anybody else applying to this cohort? What did your stats look like when you applied? I have a 3.7 last 60 unit and 3.7 science GPA, my overall HESI was a 94% and I have 6 years as an ER tech and 6 years pre-hospital as an EMT and paramedic. Thanks in advance for any help/tips!

They have that info on the SM website! I vaguely remember 24 seats are open and about 300 total applicants. I don't remember how many they invite to the interview (or maybe this one wasn't posted). There is an 8% acceptance rate

ELMSN Admitted Student Profile | Samuel Merritt University

This was from 2016. They still used the TEAS back then. They accepted more people that year. From a past year it was something like 24/300 people...I'm pretty sure I didn't make it up. I just can't find it right now.

FRom what I remember when I met with the admissions counselor earlier this year, I believe it's 24 students per cohort, so 24 for sac in the spring, and 24 for Oakland in the fall. I interpret the total applicants as for all of 2016 as 246 between both cohorts because of how many students were accepted in the same stat. Again, only assuming, then probably 120-150 applicants per cohort.

I have an interview too! Did anyone get their time slot yet? They emailed me to choose between Sept 27 or 28. And does anyone know what the interview will be like in a group interview?

I got an interview request as well. In the past it looks like they have held group interviews. Good luck to all - I look forward to seeing you on the 27th or 28th. I still haven't heard back on dates either.

Hello everyone! I received a request to interview as well. My interview is the 28th at 6 pm. I wanted earlier, but slots were filled.

That makes me a little nervous. I emailed Ms. Petersen to ask how many individuals will be interviewing us. Waiting to hear back.

I had a horrible peer lead interview once, so it makes me nervous. However, we wouldn't be selected to interview if they didn't see something

about us they liked. So if you're nervous too, don't worry, we got this!
