Samuel Merritt ELMSN FNP Spring 2018

Published

Hey, first post here! Just wanted to see if anybody else has applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN FNP for January 2018. I will be submitting my app within the next few days, and can't wait to hear back from them. Anybody else applying to this cohort? What did your stats look like when you applied? I have a 3.7 last 60 unit and 3.7 science GPA, my overall HESI was a 94% and I have 6 years as an ER tech and 6 years pre-hospital as an EMT and paramedic. Thanks in advance for any help/tips!

Received an email a few days ago saying that the waitlist has not moved at all. Losing hope already ;(

Hello, does anyone have any advice on the interview process? I heard it was very unique. What kinds of activities did you have to do? I heard it was not your typical interview

Hopefully a note to inspire you... I did get in this year. It was my third attempt. Keep the faith and keep going after what you really want. It may not be this year, but I definitely encourage you to reapply for next year. The program attracts such a great group of students. I was really bummed that I didn't get in last year - I was wait-listed and there was little movement. I reapplied and volunteered with SMU students last year. I encourage you to reach out to current students, attend the info sessions and meet people. Don't give up hope!
