Samuel Merritt ELMSN, FNP program, Fall 2016 Oakland

I didn't see a thread for the Fall 2016 ELMSN, FNP program. I recently applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN, FNP program in Oakland, CA. Has any one else applied? Any graduates have any feedback? I'm really excited about Samuel Merritt's Family Nurse Practitioner program. I'd really like to pursue primary and mental health. With that, I think a focus on FNP first would help.

Thanks for all the info! Congrats again on your interview. I hope I get a call today too! Are you geographically local to the school and do you mind sharing any stats/experiences you have since you landed an interview in a very competitive program?

Well I have my interview scheduled for 2/10, HCE include MA and volunteering at ED, science GPA is 3.90 and overall GPA 3.80, teas is above 80th percentile.

Hi everyone, I've been following this forum to see updates on this year's application process and was wondering if anyone else has heard back. Yesterday I got a missed call at 8PM and received a voicemail regarding scheduling an interview. I received another call today at around 3PM and am scheduled for 2/10 at 3PM. Is anyone else interviewing on that day? Hope everyone's application process has gone smoothly. I submitted my application in September so I know how excruciating the wait can be. Good luck all!

Congrats on the interview!!! I still have yet to hear from them but I'm remaining hopeful! I didn't know they'd be calling as late as 8PM. did they call you pacific standard time or are you from the east coast?

Thanks very much! I hope you get a call soon, please update when you do. It was 8PM PST. I didn't think they would call that late either, which is why I thought it would be safe to go to the bathroom.

No, just wondering. I was so nervous and excited when scheduling I forgot to ask although the lady had mentioned an email will be sent out about the location and other details.

Thanks for sharing your stats!! They sound very competitive. I also volunteer at the ED at Kaiser San Leandro! My stats are definitely not as good though, but I'm gonna remain hopeful. Anyone else get a call yet??

@istgw I am doing the exact same thing, althought its hard to figure out how to prepare being that I do not know the format of the interview or have any other details.
