First post here, it will be time to submit applications by December 1st. I am almost done with my application and am just starting this thread to see if anyone else is applying to the Fall 2018 program? Lets get a good thread started so we can keep each other updated on interviews and acceptance!

I remember someone saying deposits are due within ten days of receiving the admissions letter.

Rejection email on my end too. Here's to hoping I get in to one of my back-up schools! Good luck to all those who enter the FNP program! Wish I knew exactly what cut me from the ring so I could know where to improve...

When I asked them about possible rejections, they said their most common reason is bc of GPA??? Even tho they accept 3.0 gpas to apply, they said the usual acceptance GPAs are 3.5-3.8 for cumulative/pre reqs. I'm sure you can call to ask them specifically about your app tho!

ELMSN FNP deposits are due on the 9th of March. You get a huge checklist of to-do's after they process the deposit.

I've been waitlisted as well. The email I received stated I was number 3.0 of 34 so I'm unsure if I'm #3 or #30 on the waitlist since "3.0" could have been a typo. I read all threads for SMU ELMSN FNP dating back to 2013 and found it's not uncommon for them to pull 1 to 2 people off the waitlist after the deposit/intent to enroll deadline for those that are accepted has past. However, I did find someone posted that one year, the Program Director told a group on interviewees that they once pulled up to 24 on the waitlist. I hope some of you have found this information to be helpful and for those of you wondering what my stats are, you can find them in post #19 of this thread.
