Hi TashaBS! I'll be applying as well. I'm waiting to hear back from Elsavier to see when I can register for the Hesi A2. How far ahead are spots usually filled for the exam?
Just a bit about me: I'm a clinical research coordinator for the Gynecologic Oncology department, have been at it for over 2 years. I graduated with a B.S. in 2015 with some volunteer health experience during undergrad. Last 90 units GPA is around 3.5, Prerequisite GPA is 3.9.
Maybe we can all share stats? I know it was helpful for me to see other people's stats in previous year's forums so I had an idea of what to aim for!
Best of luck to everyone applying and I look forward to going through this application journey with you all! :)
Hi guys! I have submitted my application and I am anxiously waiting >.
Just a little about me, I have been a medical assistant/ scribe for 6 years. Last 60/90 is 3.91 and science prerequisite is 4.0. Thank you for starting this post!! Yes we should keep each other updated. Good luck to everyone applying :)
Hi guys! I'm new to this forum. I also applied to the ELMSN-FNP program at SMU for Fall 2018. I have an interview at APU but I haven't heard back from any other California schools including SMU. Starting to get a little nervous.... but I guess most schools get back to you in Dec/Jan.
I have a BA in Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara (3.31 gpa). Last 60 units is somewhere around 3.75, I have a 4.0 in the perquisites, and my overall average GPA including everything is 3.55. I got my CNA license a year ago and have about 9 months CNA experience. I've also job shadowed for years as both my parents are physicians. Recently I did a 100 hour volunteership at Kaiser because USD requires 100 Volunteer Hours in acute care. I took the HESI in October and got a 95.6%.
So with all that and a few good letters of Rec I hope I get in somewhere! I applied to 6 schools and I got waitlisted at University of Hawaii and I have an interview at Azusa Pacific University, but other than that I haven't heard from anyone!!
Hi everyone!
I submitted my application 11/30/2017. I graduated from UC Davis in 2016 with a BS in Cell Biology. HESI A2 cumulative score was a 91.6%. My pre-req GPA is a 3.8, cumulative GPA from all the schools I have attended is probably a 3.2??? I have done a lot of volunteering in health care related settings involving those who are underserved. Currently working as a research assistant at Stanford School of Medicine.
Good luck to everyone!
TashaBS
