Samuel Merritt ELMSN FNP Fall 2015

Published

I read through all pages of the Fall 2014 and 2013 versions of this thread, and found it very helpful and reassuring to see fellow applicants statistics. I couldn't find one for Fall 2015 and would like to start one. I'm hoping to pull some data together for Fall 2015 so that we know where we are and get a better idea of our chances of getting into the program.

We could also help each other out and create a 'bond' over the celebration of acceptance and the depression of rejection on this thread. It's about to be a worldwind of emotion over the next few months. Happy application process!!

This thread is to keep lively and healthy our obsessions, curiosities, and heightened but needless anxieties about our own wishes to become a competent FNP and our perceived expectations that others may be "better" at it. So, as is tradition plus few added items:

Are there no early admission spots this year???

I got in! I was so excited reading the e-mail that I started crying and laughing all at the same time! Good luck to everyone! :)

I can't believe it. I got my acceptance email this morning!! Still pretty much in a state of shock. Good luck to all those who are still waiting! Look forward to seeing you on the fall.

Congratulations csnp!

Huge congrats eabaunza and csnp!!! :nurse::yeah:

Has anyone else heard back about admissions for the ELMSN FNP?? I am just nervous and checking my email about every hour or so. It's hard to stay focused at work when you're waiting to hear of you did or did not get in. Fingers are still crossed :)

At my interview they told us we wouldn't know until early March. I'm hoping there are still some spots open, and those that were already admitted were early decisions.

Congrats to all the ones that heard back!!

Take a big and long vacation before you start the program, and try to relax! Once August comes around, you guys will be very busy.

Thanks hamsterfeet! Do you have any advice on how to prepare before the program starts? Should we start reviewing certain subjects?

for those who are still waiting to hear back, just for reference, I had my interview on the 17th. They had told us that there were 140 interviews for 24 spots and that we would hear back on the first week of March. Keep checking your emails this week. Hopefully good news will come your way soon!

Hi hamsterfeet,

Thanks for being part of this forum.

If you were part of the very first interview, then we met. Like csnp, I'd also like to ask what you would recommend we start reviewing?

Also, should we buy our stethoscope and sphygmomanometer? Or should we wait for more information from the school?

Thank you!

... Can't wait to see more people post their admission statuses.

Has anyone else heard anything from admissions yet besides cnsp and eabaunza? From the other forums, some of us should have heard word by now. SMU is my top school and not hearing anything yet worries me a little.

Oh and congratulations btw to both of you :)

I was wait listed.
