I've been looking all over for a thread about SM ELMSN Fall 2012 but have not found any!! So I guess I'll be the first to post something about it. Since application deadline is today, any hopefuls like to share their application experiences, stats, goals, anything related to nursing school? Now that apps are completed, the waiting begins...sooooo exciteddd!!! :nurse: I applied to the FNP track, crossing my fingers :uhoh3:

To xzalense - Yes, you need both pharmacology and pathophysiology prior to applying to the ABSN. They are surprisingly difficult to find/get a spot in, especially online.

To Naznazy, thanks for the info. I wasn't nervous before but now I am! What the heck are they going to talk to me about for 2+ hours?! Oh well, we'll see. At least I'm already in USF if this doesn't work out...
Nice job in getting into USF! I've tried for years with that program and had no luck. Pretty good school. I only got into Dominican but it's a 3 year bachelor program. Talk about wasting time!

Kandd99,

USF's deadline for the msn-cnl non-nurse was on 2/15. Did you already hear back from them? Or did you apply for a different program there?

To imagine12 - I guess I'm not being very clear; I've been accepted to USFs BSN program. I did apply for the CNL but have not heard back yet; as you mentioned, the deadline was just last week. The interview today at SM seemed to go well but as we all know, you can't really tell until you get a call. :-)

So Kand,

Did your interview turn out to be one on one or group? Did the faculty mention when we should hear back? I feel like I'm constantly on these boards/checking my email to see if anyone has started to hear back yet. But perhaps they are waiting til all interviews are over this year...

I was wondering the same thing! Was it one-on-one or group? Was it similar to the group interviews or a completely different format?

@ Mochikat,

At our interview the directors told us that we would all hear back no later than the end of the month. They said that if we get in they will personally call us, if wait listed they will email us with a wait list number, and if not offered admission we would receive notice via email as well. I've been going crazy checking my emails and keeping my phone nearby too, but I keep reminding myself that I'm waiting for the call not the email!! Lol.

I interviewed on 2/4 and they told us that we'd find out in 3-4 weeks. So I'm guessing we'll know next week or first week of March. Getting nervous as the time gets closer! I've been crazily checking my phone and email every day as well! Good luck everyone!

This time the interview was a much smaller group - only 4. They said we would hear by the first week of march. Last time I was wait listed and received a phone call so I'm not sure what the exact protocol is for notification, phone call or email - guess we will all find out! Good luck everyone.

Woohoooo!!! I just got the call and was given early acceptance for the CM program. This is so insane I cant sit still. Good luck everyone, stay positive, and I'll see you in the fall.
