hello all,
wanted to start a thread for those of us applying to SM's CRNA program this year for 2021!
Hey Laura!
I think it kind of depends. You could ask Shawna (SMU's academic advisor) for her advice. If you did poorly in science courses and then take it, it will bring up your science GPA. I took it at UCD as an undergrad years back and got a C,C-, and C+ in the 7 series. I retook it at a local community college and got an A. I wanted to take it to show I could actually do physics/ bring up my grade. I have an interview this time around after retaking physics, bio, chem, and stats.
I'd say if your science GPA, cumulative, and last 60 GPA are high you probably don't need it... but again that's just my opinion.
UCD, haha I took Chem there and did not do so hot! My BSN program didn't require chem, so my undergrad studies were bio (my strength!) and my undergrad science cumulative is good. I do however need to take Chem, and possibly stats as well. It's been 7 years since I've been in school (WOW that's crazy to say out loud!)

would anyone be interested in doing virtual mock interviews ?
