Samuel Merritt BSN Fall 2018

Published

Hey All! I applied to SMU for the 2018 Fall BSN program. Just wanted to create this to see if anyone's gotten a confirmation email or (possibly) even heard back! Plus, I figured this could serve as a good outlet for my checking my email incessantly!

No they didn't say. I'm now realizing I probably should have asked lol. But they said that the nursing department are sending out decisions as they go through the applications. That's why it's like scattered throughout the week

Ah okay I guess that makes sense, thanks for the info! I completely forgot to go on there today

Hi guys I just received my acceptance this morning!!

Hi guys I just received my acceptance this morning!!

Me too! So excited! :)

Congrats everyone!!!! Can't wait to meet all of you!

Hello, I hope you don't mind my asking but I'm planning to apply to Samuel Merritt for Fall of 2019 and I wanted to know around what GPA people are getting accepted with. I think I'll have around a 3.7 science prerequisite GPA and an overall 3.8 GPA and I wanted to know if that would be competitive enough for SM. I haven't taken the HESI yet.

Thanks, much appreciated.

I was accepted into the fall 2018 program and here are my stats:

Accumulative GPA - 3.91

Science GPA - 4.0

HESI score - 88% overall but I did score a 98% in the anatomy and physiology section

Extras - none, meaning no extra points for foreign language or work experience.

Hey! So I was also accepted and my stats are:

Prerequisite GPA:3.8

Cumulative GPA: 3.3

HESI: 97%

I've worked in the health field for about three years which I think helped my cumulative GPA a lot.

I speak intermediate Spanish, and beginners French and Japanese.

I have BLS CPR and a bunch of other accreditations like that.

Your GPA looks amazing! What's cool about this school is that they look at a person as a whole. I was panicking thinking my GPA would hold me back. But I worked really hard on my essays and it paid off! You're gonna kill it with that GPA for sure!

Has anyone received their financial aid package yet? I looked on SMURF and it looks like room and board has been accounted for, but no tuition etc. I emailed financial aid but haven't heard back yet.

Same! Nothing in SMURF for me so far.
