Just wanted to start an information-sharing thread for those applying for the ABSN Summer 19 cohort at Samuel Merritt University (in Oakland, CA and San Mateo, CA). Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

I finally received my preliminary review email and annoyingly it shows I am missing two classes which I am not! NursingCAS seems to be behind with updating the schools with coursework. I hope this does not hinder my chances of getting in! I replied to the email with my NursingCas verification of classes page as well as my transcripts so they could also verify the two classes it shows it is missing. I applied for the April Cohort and that is less then two months away so I am concerned they have already made there decisions and I will be left off because of this mistake!

They messed up on mine too! But I emailed them back and they fixed it. Thank god!!

just received my prelim email FINALLY! about time, ?. i applied a day before the deadline. how do you guys know that Nursing Cas left out your completed courses?

Hi Everyone, I am wondering what did the preliminary email say? I wonder if we all get one or do they send one to applicants that they think have courses in progress or are missing something on their application. Im so nervous.

I believe we all get one. It checks off complete or incomplete application information. Here's a screenshot of it!

I received the preliminary email around 12n today— finally!!! It says that they have completed a preliminary review of my application. I applied to the Oakland cohort.

My email didn't go near into the amount of detail that was posted above. Very simple, saying that my review was completed, and that they looked forward to working with me through the application cycle. I also applied for the Oakland cohort!
