Samuel Merritt ABSN Summer 2012

Hi everyone! :nurse:

So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? :up: :down: What campus did you apply to?

Katibelle- Finding out that they notified someone with a last name starting with S definitely freaked me out but I do not want to lose hope just yet. We still have a chance!!! Also, we might make it on the waitlist if we don't get accepted so we need to hope, hope, and hope!!

so out of everyone who is on this site who applied to Oakland, it is only me, tamosaur, and katiebelle1 who have not heard back... right?

I want to call and ask but I doubt they would tell me if I got in or not. And I'm afraid that if I call, they might get annoyed and change their decision about me if I was accepted.. I'm just scared about everything

i had oakland and have not received a call...last name L...but i guess that doesn't really matter at this point.

I don't think it means you aren't in yet...first who knows what order they go in since we are all assigned to different counselors and I doubt they assigned us based on our name since all our applications came in at different times. Plus there is the other cohort, plus think of how unlikely they got through everyone, plus there is wait list...lost of things could be going on...it isn't no until they actually say no.

Who are the san mateo cohort first choice reading this??? We have to keep each other in the loop!

LovePaws, San Mateo is my first choice as well and Oakland is my second choice. I haven't heard anything else either.

LovePaws is definitely right!! There are so many factors that could be affecting who is hearing of their acceptance and in what order. But I can't help but feel so much anxiety..

PLus, if someone who's last name started with B found out at 430-5 and then Captain who's last name starts with "S" heard at 5:24 pm, that would mean that they got from B to S in less than an hour...

OK, I am cutting myself from analyzing anymore (at least in this public forum) tonight. I will say a little prayer or positive thought (whichever you prefer) for us all. I really do hope we all get in, but even if I don't. I wish the best for all of you...

The roster hasn't been finalized some who got accepted may choose to go to another school. Also, EB told me that some cohorts exhaust the entire waitlist to fill seats.

Hang tuff guys. I waited for this for two years . I gave up applying anywhere for an entire year because I discovered nursing was NASTY and was unsure if it was for me. But, now I enjoy what I do as a CNA. If your grades aren't stellar like myself and you really want this. KEEP AT IT, YOU WILL GET IN.
