So, who applied?

With your stats I don't understand what their delay is. Why does it seem as if everything comes down to the last minute with this place. Good luck today!

Taratom, Check to see if all of your information has been received. Email NursingCAS. If they don't have everything it might be what is preventing them from making a decision.

It doesn't hurt that I can move anywhere in California. I am moving from Illinois so I have a little bit of flexibility with where I can go. I would never have ever been able to make a April 25th start date. My last day at my current job is April 30th and my lease isn't up til then. It would have been near impossible. I am really lucky that they were still accepting applicatons for another cohort.

I think that flexibility will serve you well with this program. The April 25th start date is right around the corner and there are too many things to figure out...financial aid, books..... Too much to do!

kt21,

did ------ let u know your number on the oakland waitlist yet?? i sure hope the school allows us to switch!!

taramtoms,

you sound like a shoe in!!

I was only told that I was at the end of the waitlist and typically the Oakland list doesn't move much. I am still having a hard time stomaching how much the program costs with the reality of the RN job market. I am going to see how the alternative loan situation turns out.

I should be a little more clear about how I was able to deposit for the San Mateo Cohort. I found out I got in on the 14th and then I immediately called ----- and I asked to be considered for the San Mateo cohort because of the start date. I did not simply ask to switch campuses. I needed to give up the slot in order to get the other one. It was a risk, but since they were not full and they were still considering applications I was able to get a spot in San Mateo. Remember, each campus has Autonomy from the others.

I too contacted the school right after my acceptance and was told the Oakland campus was full and my only option was to accept my spot for SF and also go on the waitlist for Oakland. However, I hear that they will often switch students around right up until the first day of class.

I hope everything works out for you and you get the Oakland Campus!

March 1, and I am still waiting on a decision for San Mateo. Big time :(. They have my application, and it is still "under review" in San Mateo. Am I the only one that doesn't know about their admission status?

Taramtoms: Did you contact NursingCAS to make sure they received everything from you. Transcripts, LORS, etc? Also did you make sure that anything that was inprogress this fall was sent in? I had some trouble with SBCC and my transcript, which is what was holding up my app. at a different school

I have confirmed that SM has everything, including letters of rec and transcripts.... in addition to the ones that were in progress. Booooo
