Hi everyone, I just applied to SMC ABSN program for Summer 2010. As the deadline is only tommorow, i'm guessing we have quite some time before hearing back. I wasn't able to find how long we have to wait to get a reply. By looking at other forums from past semesters, I read something like 2-3 months? That would be between sometime between Janurary and February 2010? Post back here if you hear or know anything about Summer 2010 :). Good luck!

Received an email today from the admissions pool with an update saying they are working diligently and are on target for the March 1st decisions. It also mentioned If you're applying for Fall 2010 at SF, that you don't need to resubmit transcripts and letters(submitted in summer), but have to resubmit everything else, including fee. My question is, since the fall app deadline is the same as our summer decision letter, is there a grace period where they can accept Fall apps slightly later if we don't get into summer semester? I'll probably email her..

The last part of the email said to hold off on applying until you get your decision letter. It says they will accept apps after the deadline for a period of time.

HI, I am new to this thread. I applied for the SMU ABSN programs for summer 2010, oakland and sf. I received an email in early jan asking for my Micro grade (in process as time of admission), she then told me my application was 'complete' and it would be forwarded to the the absn admissions office. I have not heard anything since then, but I am reading that some applicants received an email stating they would hear by March 1. I'm wondering why I did not receive this email. Does anyone have any more information? Good to luck to all who are applying!

Hi, I'd email ***** ****** and explain the situation.

She's in charge of our cohort and should be able to make sure you're on the email list from now on and check to see if anything's missing. She's sent us 2 emails, one in Dec (I think), and the other last week.

Hi--

I've been through this process once before when I was waitlisted for Spring 2010.

Here's how it worked last time: those who were accepted and the first 10 people on the waiting list received phone calls. Those who were waitlisted (not the first 10 people) received an e-mail. Finally, those rejected were the last to get word via snail mail. There's no guarantee that it will happen this way again, but this is how they did it last time.
