I'm new to this site, but have been following the allnurses posts regarding Samuel Merritt program applications religiously for a while now. I recently applied to the ABSN and ELMSN - FNP program for the July 1 deadline. Thought it would be great to have a place to provide insight, stay updated and share experiences with all of you through this terrifying journey. I mean we ONLYYY have to wait until October - November to hear anything. Let the wait begin.....
Mine was definitely later like the 27th of June I believe and I haven't heard anything yet. Thank you all so much for interacting on here a bunch. Helps ease the nerves and get to the bottom of things:)
I submitted my app on the last day and I heard back this morning. I hope you all get acceptance letters soon! I have yet to hear back about ELMSN so I feel you guys on the anxiety part. I also haven't seen anyone who has gotten a waitlist notification yet for either program so that is also reason to be hopeful!
I submitted somewhere around 6/20. I haven't heard back yet either. I'm also starting to feel hopeless. And I know several of you are applying again after not making a previous cohort. I can only imagine the anxiety you are feeling. I'm very happy for everyone who got in and I'm trying to stay positive for the rest of us. I agree that the support everyone has provided through this thread has been fantastic. Thank you everyone. :)
Guessing there wont be anymore emails until tomorrow morning. Wish we knew the reason for trickling them out??

While I spoke to someone from Samuel Merritt on the phone earlier and was told the end of the week, Katharine just emailed me saying that all final decisions will be out by mid to late October. Seems like different dates are being given out depending on who it is that you speak to in admissions. I have no idea what to believe or think at this point and it's getting really tough to stay positive at this point.

That's so disheartening to hear that. But I do appreciate you sharing what news you have. I wish there was some way to understand the process. I want to know if there's a method to the madness!
