Hey guys! I'm new to this forum but has anyone applied for Spring 2018 Cohort yet? I'm not sure if the applications are open yet but that is the cohort that I want to apply to. I will have my BA in Sociology in December 2017 and I am still doing my prerequisites. If you've already applied or are a current student, let me know if you think I'll have a chance at getting in.
Degree: BA in Sociology
Last 60 unit GPA: 3.4 (hoping to raise it to 3.6 by end of year)
Science GPA: 3.5 (still need to do Microbiology & Physiology)
Non-Science: 3.1 (Completed all)
CNA License: Yes
Paid Job Experience: Yes for 1.5 years
*Haven't taken HESi exam yet, but I will this month
Please help, what were your GPA's when you got in and when did you find out you were accepted? Also, if you were ever on the waitlist, when did you finally get accepted?
I have also applied for the Spring 2018 cohort. I received the email that they have received my application last week. I hope we all get in. These are my stats.

Hi JennAnn, did you retake your Hesi? I just took mine this morning and for a 85%, I need to retake it because it's not as competitive. I just wanted to know your experience and any tips that might help. I'm taking it on Monday. The deadline is on Tuesday for Spring
Hi Roosky15, do you remember who told you the deadline is this Tuesday? When I spoke with Kirsten, she said the HESI exam requirement needed to be completed before July 1st.
Hi Roosky15, my counselor also told me that I had to complete the HESI prior to the July 1st deadline or it would be considered as an incomplete application and that I would've have to apply for the next cohort if I didn't meet the deadline.
Edit: Oh nevermind, sorry didn't know that they extended the application deadline.
Thank you for clarifying that info with the counselor. Did anyone take the Hesi more than once? I'm taking it again on Monday to get a higher score. Any suggestions?
I only took it once, but a few of my classmates re-took the HESI. They only took the sections they needed a higher score and SMU was ok with it. Hopefully this info helps.
My exam went well. I really bumped up my score on the math section and I'm so happy about that. That was the section I really wanted to focus on. In my opinion the exam wasn't that hard. Goodluck to all of us!

@Rancho80, I applied to Sac cohort as my first choice. :) The waiting process is driving me nuts, and it's only been a few days.
