Starting a new thread for the Spring 2011 SMU applicants for the Sacramento Campus and all others as well.
Post your stats, any other important information you might have heard about the applicants, questions, concerns, anything!!
My stats:
Already been in nursing school- Dropped OUT- UGH, why????? *I digress...
*Received a degree from Sac State already, Cum Laude
Science G.P.A.= 3.4
Overall G.P.A. = 3.5
Teas= 84.1
1 year of healthcare experience
1 year of nursing school experience
Multiple community involvement experiences- ERG's, Volunteer on Diversity teams, Church, internships, mentoring, tutoring
*Hoping that this may be the year because I'm going no where fast in my current job field and I want to return to a profession that I have a passion for and am good at!!
for all those who were accepted in san mateo 2011, how did you find out the date of the orientation?
When ------ called me on Monday, she said that she will email us all the information regarding to the next steps we need to take by either Wednesday or Thursday. I am assuming that includes the date of the orientation, etc.
Thank you so much for the info and words of encouragement. My number is fairly high on the alternate list but EB said that I still have a good chance for spring semester. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst.
For those of you on the waitlist, I have to agree with everyone else: don't lose hope!
I applied for Fall 2010 and was basically dead last on the waitlist. I eventually moved to #35 after 2 months of finding out. They then carried my application over for Spring 2011. I was also nervous considering how high I was on the list, but thankfully I was accepted this time around!
From what I've read in other forums, if you're in the first 10 on the waitlist you have a very good chance of acceptance.
nope, not yet.. maybe SMU is waiting to collect everyone's letter of intent (due by nov. 15) before they mail the acceptance packages? i sure hope they mail it soon cuz their academic calendar says we are supposed to register for classes between 11/22-11/25 (http://www.samuelmerritt.edu/files/20112012_absn_san_mateo__january_cohort.pdf)

Hey stillwaiting_2310- did you have to ask them to carry your application over or did they do it automatically for you? also- was this for the sacramento campus? thanks so much for sharing!
