I am currently taking the prerequisite courses and planing to submit my application as soon as I finish the courses, but I am now working 3 day a week, sometimes 2 days in order to support myself. I am wondering whether I am still able to work part-time if I got accepted, does any of you guys worked while you were in the program? Thanks.
Well look at it like this...you haven't got a denial letter yet, so until you have one in your hand there is always hope. Even if you are the last person on the waitlist there is always hope. You never know what is going to happen, who is going to decide to go somewhere else, there are a million things that affect us at this point, so just keep hope until you get notification that you shouldn't any more. I hope you get in...stay positive and just try to keep your mind off of it...I know it's hard, I check this thing every day to see if anyone has got a call or letter yet too.
I am an applicant for the SF '09 cohort, too. Aside from feeling nervous about what the future holds, I'm slightly concerned because I'm not receiving any of these emails informing us about how we'll be informed...rejections by mail, acceptances by phone, etc.
Are you soliciting this information from SMU staff and then sharing it on this thread, or should I be contacting them to make sure I'm on the proper email list?

Great perspective. Thanks for sharing your hopefulness!!!! It's coming down to the wire... and we all need it. :redbeathe
i also inquired privately with one of the advisors and this was her response, i am unsure of why it seems as though everyone has different answers.
"we have sent some denial letters out. i do not believe any have gone out in the last two weeks. we are still waiting for a final list from the school of nursing and hope to have phone calls made by the end of this week. worst case is you will receive an email from the director of admission alerting you to any changes."
good luck!
Calls are being made!
I just received a call telling me that I'm #4 on the waitlist. The official class size is now 40, not 48. 38 applicants will be accepted and 2 students will be re-entering the SF program from other cohorts.
I was told that 38 calls to accepted applicants would be made and that the first 10 on the waitlist would be called as well.
Keep your phones close by and good luck!
