Anybody else applying?
mondaygirl,
I'm sorry you didn't get accepted, their administration is definitely lacking in efficiency. I doubt that you were wait-listed because of those two classes since a lot of applicants don't take them before they apply. I would still try to talk to someone about why they didn't receive your transcript from their own school...I called early this morning and was able to talk to Lizzie, so try calling in the mornings. When I talked to her, she said that the fact that i was on the wait-list means i am a very competitive applicant (but when she looked up my application, she couldn't tell me why i was not accepted) I also asked about san mateo, because I did not mark it on the application, and she told me to send a letter saying that I want my application to be reviewed for san mateo. she said that i should wait to see if i get into sf's since they do go through their wait-list typically. Good luck and keep calling, eventually you'll get through :)
Congratulations to those who made it in! yes!
For those who did not make it, I feel for you...If there is anything I have learned, I hope that you find closure on their decision sooner than later. This way, you can move on and pursue other schools, or other educational options. Keep ya heads up!
I applied to the Fall SF program and got accepted, but last week Anne sent out an email saying they had spots in the Summer San Mateo program and on a first come basis those who wanted to could start early if they had all prerequisites done (except pathophysiology & pharmacology which have to be done by Aug 15). I am trying to get all the logistics together and do this, but it's gonna be a crazy next 10 days. I went from thinking I had 6 months to get things in order (pack, find a place, move, get ready for school, etc) to less than 2 weeks in 2 days. Anybody else in this boat?
I decided to take one of the June spots, and I'm not sure how many spots are left. Last week, they did open the opportunity to people who haven't finished patho and pharm, as long as they are finished concurrently with this summer's classes (but that sounds crazy!). That also makes me think that they are having a hard time finding people to fill all the seats. Orientation is tomorrow, so hurry up and decide if you haven't!

Congrats! I thought orientation was Friday... I think they are having problems filling seats because San Mateo is so new and more people prefer SF because they like the city.

Blackcat,
Also, when you sent in your application did you mark the San Mateo campus as well?? That is what I did, so hopefully they will hold my application for that campus. I received my waitlist letter and am #24. And in the review of my file they said I did not take pharm and pathophysio, when in fact I took it at THEIR school these past two semesters!!!! Whoever is making decisions and reviewing apps is not doing a very good job!!!! I called Anne Seed to tell her, but had to leave a voice mail.....hopefully I was not waitlisted b/c they thought I hadn't taken those classes!
Does anybody know the chances of getting in while on a waitlist??
