What's up people? So I've been searching for some threads pertaining to this program in leu of going crazy after submitting my application. So I figured I would start a post so that us SacTown applicants can chat... Anyone know how long before SM sends their letters?

Smurf 7, CONGRATS!! That is so awesome for you. I applied to ELMSN - CM and ABSN... Do you feel so much better? :) IF you dont mind, what were your grades and test scores like? WHen did you hear and go to your interview??? Sorry I am just "patiently" waiting and am nervous!! haha . THanks again

I do feel better, I know the waiting can be the hardest. I went for my interview last Friday. I know they had interviews set up all day Friday and Monday (yesterday). The SM counselor told me that they interviewed 40 candidates for 20 positions. I had a 4.0 on my sciences and other subjects except I had a B on my Engl. 1A and a C grade on Stats. My teas were not as strong I took it twice and my better score was an 87%. They really read the essay you wrote, I think mine helped me because the person who interviewed me said that "I captured the essence of the program" (I'm not sure what that means, I just wrote what I felt).

I hope you hear soon. I don't think they have notified the ABSN candidates yet. Keep your fingers crossed. At least you don't have to do the interview for the ABSN. Best of luck.

So I got an e-mail today from SMU regarding a scholarship. The message goes on to say that those who are eligible must be conditionally accepted. Anyone else get the same message? Am I one of the conditionally accepted? I'm probably over reacting. I should be contacting them instead.

Your not over reacting just over analyzing. Yes I got that same e-mail. I think we are all conditionally accepted until we pay our tuition right?! Anyways I went on the website even though I don't technically qualify since I am ELMSN. Check it out, but your okay.

Sounds like they sent it out to all applicants. Mascli- I got my hopes up as well when I got the email. This waiting game is so hard. Hopefully we'll have some good news soon.

Supposedly the San Mateo Cohort will be notified by the end of the month. That's next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone! I received a call today from Samuel Merritt! I am so excited to be a part of the ABSN 2010 Sacramento cohort. When I received the call, I was told that they are offering "early admissions" right now (there are 14 early admissions); they will then be calling everyone else soon. Apparently, there will be 32 students in the class, with an additional 4 students who will be attending lectures in Sacramento while doing their clinicals in Martinez. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. You should hear something soon!

I heard whoever didn't get early admissions for Sac ABSN should be getting a call next week (if admitted or wait listed) otherwise the dreaded letter. Good luck all!
