Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who applied for the ABSN Fall 2019 cohort. I applied for the Sacramento location but would love to connect with all who applied in general! Good luck everyone!

In the Fall '19 Sac ABSN Cohort, we registered for classes last week. I just took a look, and it appears like we have about 45 of the 48 seats filled at this point (although some of the main classes only have 1 or 2 seat left, so it could vary). Just wanted to give an update, and that there may be some spaces available for those still on the wait list.

Thank you for the update! It’s getting so close, I just wish I knew if it was yes or no so I have time to prepare!

Does anyone know the recently updated waiting list at San Mateo Campus?

Hi everyone,

Derric from SM campus called me earlier today and said that because I am one of the top 5 on the waitlist, I am invited to the Fall orientation. If a spot does not open for the November cohort then I will be guaranteed admission for the January cohort without having to reapply!

I guess the rumors of the first few waitlist numbers getting in were true. Although I may or may not be with the Fall cohort, I'm excited!!

Hi All,

As an ABSN student, I would say just go to Sacramento campus. San Mateo campus has an MCA 3 professor who has failed dozens of students over the years in each cohort with brutal exams, or questions that are downright unfair. If you fail the class, you have to wait sometimes up to a year to wait to get back into the program. Clinical faculty also never do paperwork on time, so you get your preceptorships in senior synthesis with only a few weeks left till the end of the program. You are basically scrambling, worried about completing hours to graduate. Oakland campus has similar problems with clinical placements. Sacramento campus is really the best campus.

What is everyone doing while waiting for the program to start? Just wondering if I should be doing something to keep myself busy or just relax before the chaos begins ?

I would just try to relax ! Nothing we can do now but wait for the final word!!! Best of luck to you ! ?

I won't go to San Mateo program so there is at least one spot available.

Im just working and reviewing my anat/phys, pharma, and patho notes and youtube videos (not seriously just brushing up).
