Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who applied for the ABSN Fall 2019 cohort. I applied for the Sacramento location but would love to connect with all who applied in general! Good luck everyone!
3) each semester can be split into up to 4 payments. More information can be found here https://www.samuelmerritt.edu/business_office/payment_plans

It directs me to add in my 2 emergency contacts and then asks me 3 yes or no questions and when I hit submit it just makes me log in again and acts like I never answered the yes or no questions. Anybody else have this happen?
Yes. Once I paid the deposit then it processed through the next day. It gets you stuck in a loop until you pay the deposit.

My friend who is in the cohort before this one said after he did TONS of research and talking with counselors that the Salle Mae loans are the best private ones. I know we are not allowed to get it all at once per SMU policy they make you get it in broken up increments so if you do use someone else do not get it all at once and they will tell us that at the orientation. Which I wish was earlier then a month before since everyone needs to come up with 70k+ by then and should know all the facts around private loans! I have only accepted the 12k from the FASFA loans thus far and plan to probably get the rest from Salle Mae like he did but I will see if someone how I can find any place that has better ones.
From my recent talk with Fin aid counsellor, even if we get student Loan from any place, the bank will need SMU to certify the loan. It is then that SMU will send the disbursement schedule to the bank and the bank will send the funds accordingly. I too was really confused by the email that Fin Aid office sent last week so I decided to get clarification from them. Now hopefully we just apply once and the rest is between bank and SMU. Any extra funds will be sent back to us.
Hi There!
I got waitlisted for Sac and anticipating reapplying for Fall.
I'm currently interning at a Dignity hospital as a volunteer doula, and heard back from Sutter for a volunteer opportunity as well!
Is this a conflict of interest?
I want to expand my labor and delivery experience for my application, and get my doula ICEA certifications completed too.
Would love some input!
So proud of you all for all your hard work.
Look forward hearing back,
Thanks! Michelle
@1964retsub No need to submit a physical letter. Your deposit and essentially clicking through the letter of intent pieces will suffice! Congrats!
Feel free to join the Sac cohort's Fall 2019 FB group if you'd like!

1) If at the time you applied on Nursing CAS for Nov 2019 start you had any in progress classes or planned, those need to be sent directly to the school.
2) I don't see it either.
3) Tuition is on a per unit basis so we will pay X$ each semester based on how many units we take that semester.
