Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who applied for the ABSN Fall 2019 cohort. I applied for the Sacramento location but would love to connect with all who applied in general! Good luck everyone!

Then, when I put her email in for the new application, I immediately got a notice from NursingCAS that my reference was received.
Thanks so much for this info! I was able to track down one of my professors. When he resubmitted my reference, I told him about this option just in case this turns into a long-term application process.

Last I was told was that they hoped to have decisions out this month and we should prep our Spring 2020 applications. They specifically say not to call regarding application status, so I’m reluctant to ask again. In fact, when I called to get info, I didn’t even ask about fall applications, I phrased my question toward applying for Spring 2020 or waiting to hear. I don’t want my name red flagged for being “difficult”! ?

I'm with you on that. Interestingly enough, since we have zero feedback from SMU on our Fall application, I am making very little changes on my subsequent application. One can only hope that SMU can manage to inform applicants before we go into a fourth month of waiting.

I agree RiverDancer. I met with Katherine after the last application cycle and we made a 3 application “plan” for revisions and improvements to make each time should I get waitlisted or declined. However, I would still appreciate more feedback on my statement and resume/CV. I want it to be the strongest possible application each time and having to apply again before knowing the result for Fall 2019 apps, we are going in blind on this one. It feels almost like a wasted application if we can’t get that human feedback each time. What a cluster-$&*#. ?

So on your new Fall 2020 application, for the references that checked that option, does it show "Completed" in the Evaluation section, under My Programs?
