Hello everyone! I didn't see a thread started for the SMU ABSN program Fall 2014 yet. I'm turning in my application tomorrow and I'm getting really nervous. Just wanted to see who else is applying and what were everyone's stats.

Stats:

Science GPA: 3.6

Last 60 GPA: 3.2

TEAS V Overall: 73.5%

Hey guys and gals, thought I'd chime in on the thread. I got an acceptance call on May 8th and an email followed. I had a relatively low overall GPA (3.4) but a high science (3.8). I still need to finish my patho and pharma at SBCC over the summer. I had good references (NP, Psychologist, and chem teacher) I'm employed in medical research, I think that helped a lot. I shadow an EKG tech with NP's and Fellows in a cardiac stress lab, and volunteer with the SAS of SF AIDS foundation. Oh! and my TEAS was an overall 81% (I know, I was worried about it.) but math and reading was 83%. Like most others said I think they look at you as a whole and really value your extra curricular work. For those reapplying, get volunteering, if you haven't already, with something that helps others directly even a few months of volunteering will look good. Hope this helps the next cohort.

Oh and I'm in 19932 for pharma and 19933 for patho. funny, i thought patho was only 2 units but it's 3 now, did you notice that before?
