I figured it was about time for a thread for this cohort, especially as we're getting close to hear back for the Nov. 2011 SF cohort. Did anyone else apply this cycle?

My stats are almost identical to mala in se's, though I took the TEAS IV. My letters of rec came from an instructor, former boss and coordinator of a volunteer program I did in Ecuador. I have also volunteered as a doula in a local hospital and do massage volunteer work as well. This summer I am taking pharm, patho and will do the challenge exam for communications (assuming I accept the spot).

mala in se - I am also waiting to hear from CSUSM and recently sent the last of my transcripts. Hopefully we will hear something soon!

I have friend who is waiting to hear from CSUSM, but SMU is my first choice as I want to finish ASAP. I have a classmate who took the challenge exam for the interpersonal comms and she said she passed stating it wasn't very challenging. Good luck to you!

ABSN Program All Campuses - Tuition for this program is billed at the program rate, and amortized over three semesters in equal installments.

It is almost all the way down the page under the parent heading "Payment of Tuition and Fees."

Most students do not have the money to pay $60,000 for tuition! If samuel merritt has changed their policy (they use to give full loan amounts to students) there are other ways to get the loans (banks for example). If I find other info re loans I will post here.

I know that Wells Fargo offers a MedCap loan. It is adjustable, so that is a downside, but if you have maxed out on federal loans, it could be an option. https://www.wellsfargo.com/student/loans/professional/medschoolloan

Are there any others still waiting on a decision? I'm wondering if there's anyway to reach EB or any of the counselors to get ANY kind of news?

Yes I am still waiting. I reached EB but she said she had no information for me. She said as soon as she did she will contact me. I believe that waitlisted applicants are left now....but who knows.

I'm still waiting as well and EB said the same thing..It's weird that they are still accepting applicants though according to the SMU website.

I've been waiting for a response to both emails and voicemails. Bah!

I would assume that it is also only waitlisted people left as letters if intent have already been received. I could be wrong but since accepted people already have letters of intent an deposits due I would assume (and according to earlier poster) that once school recieves letters of intent they can see how many spits they have to fill. Letters are due the 30th so maybe they make waitlist calls before then? Or maybe they have more acceptance calls to make but sent out letter of intent regardless?

Technically those who have been rejected haven't heard either officially, so couldn't they also be left?

Eb wrote today that she should have answers for all appliants by this afternoon, and that she has been notifying people as the information is released to her
